The NZPGA Championship was held at the Te Puke Golf Course from Wednesday 28 April to Sunday 2 May and Mackersy Property was one of the Championship Partners.
The NZPGA Championship tournament kicked off with the Pro-Am competition on Wednesday where one of our property managers, Aaron Milne, and his team of four Mackersy Property guests, including All Blacks Sevens player, Ollie Sapsford and PGA professional Jackson Price, battled it out against the 20 other corporate teams around the Te Puke course.
On Thursday, the real competition began with New Zealand’s top golfers competing for the chance to be crowned New Zealand’s PGA champion. Throughout the week Mackersy Property had a marquee set up at the 12th hole with a ‘hit the bullseye’ chipping station giving spectators, kids and adults alike, the chance to win some great prizes.
Mackersy Property’s Tauranga team had a great time at the Te Puke Golf Course throughout the week meeting lots of the golf enthusiasts from the Bay of Plenty and surrounding areas, talking to those interested in our offerings, and of course, watching some exceptional golf.
On the final day there was a real buzz around the clubhouse, and the Mackersy Property stand at the 18th hole, as the spectators watched big names Josh Geary, Ryan Fox and Tae Koh battle it out for first place with Tae taking out the competition.
Mackersy Property was proud to support this event and looks forward to supporting PGA events in the future.
