Commercial Property Manager - Fixed Term Maternity Cover - Christchurch
Mackersy Property is looking for an enthusiastic Commercial Property Manager to join our Property Management team on a six‑month fixed‑term maternity leave contract, with an immediate start ideal.
This role is perfectly suited to a recent university graduate with a property-related degree, or someone early in their career who wants meaningful exposure to commercial property management and the chance to learn from an experienced, high-performing team.

This is a development-focused role designed to give you real responsibility, strong foundations and exposure to how large-scale commercial assets are managed day to day.
Please note: This role is commercial property focused and is not suited to candidates whose experience is primarily in residential property management.
What you'll do:
- Supporting Property Managers with the day‑to‑day management of commercial assets
- Assisting with budgets, reporting, reconciliations and property financials
- Assisting with lease administration, documentation and compliance
- Communicating with tenants, contractors and internal teams
- Contributing to process improvements and portfolio initiatives
Key Skills and Experience:
- A recent graduate (Bachelor of Property, Bachelor of Land & Property Management, or related degree)
- Strong capability in Excel and spreadsheets
- Confidence working with numbers, data and reports
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive, can‑do attitude and genuine desire to learn
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand and be based in Christchurch
