We are a leader in New Zealand commercial property investment, with one of the largest portfolios in the country. Twenty five years in the market has enabled us to develop the scale, reputation and contacts needed to secure a consistent supply of A-grade investment opportunities. Many of the buildings which we manage are iconic local landmarks.

Management

We acquire prime commercial property, negotiate competitive funding and lease terms, and present them to our investors as high-quality syndicated investments offering superior returns.

Strict investment criteria are applied to each potential acquisition, including:

  • new or near-new construction
  • attractive yield
  • prime location
  • long term lease (or leases) to a highly reputable tenant (or tenants)
  • rental growth where possible 

We undertake a due diligence process and negotiate attractive funding and lease terms for each asset, to provide high-yielding and tax-effective investment in top quality New Zealand commercial real estate for our investor group. 

Mackersy Property investment opportunities are not ‘public offers’ for the purposes of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMCA) and are only open to Wholesale Investors. This means to invest with Mackersy Property, each investor must meet the FMCA criteria of qualifying as a Wholesale Investor. A Wholesale Investor is a person (or persons, trust or business) who can demonstrate a good understanding of financial products and how they operate including an assessment of the benefits and risks or meet certain asset or turnover thresholds. Further information is also available on the FMCA website. 

Mackersy Property must also complete due diligence on all investors in accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML-CFT). This means we are obliged to collect certified documents to prove identification, address and source of wealth.  

Mackersy Property investment opportunities are open to non-New Zealand residents but in each case Mackersy Property will give consideration to the rules and regulations pertaining to overseas investment under the Overseas Investment Act 2005.
